What is the effect of fake news?
ISLAMABAD (Special Correspondent, NNI) PAR ISLAMABAD (APP) Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Atanaullah Tarar has said that development is not possible without modern technology. Fake news is spread, government has taken many steps regarding technology. He said this while addressing a training program for Pakistani journalists organized by Tech Valley at a local hotel here on Wednesday. Attaullah Tarar said that we have established Pakistan’s first land record information system and digitized the entire land revenue system which was working on registers since the time of British rule.
The federal minister said that we have also completed Pakistan’s first safe city project, which was aimed at controlling crime and terrorism. He said if we don’t change ourselves with time, time will change us. He said that fake news harms the economy, a false and wrong news can affect the identity of the country. He said that some religious extremists create misunderstandings, such people who spread wrong information can never be our friends.
