Illegal Recruitment VC Dr Mujahid Kamran
The former VC of Punjab University was arrested in 2018
Accountability Court Lahore acquitted former Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran in the reference of alleged illegal recruitment in Punjab University. National Accountability Neuro (NAB) had requested the accountability court to return the references of Dr Mujahid Kamran and other accused. According to the NAB officials, the reference has been reviewed, there is no evidence against the accused, the court should approve the request to withdraw the NAB reference. Accountability Court accepted NAB’s request and acquitted former Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran and others. On October 11, 2018, NAB arrested the former vice chancellor of Punjab University, Dr Mujahid Kamran, on charges of illegal recruitment.
