Animal earn Rs 50-cr on opening day
Ranbir Kapoor, the Bollywood sensation, is gearing up for the much-anticipated release of his upcoming film, ‘Animal,’ scheduled to hit theaters on December 1. The film, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame, has already created a significant buzz following the release of its trailer earlier this week.
In addition to Kapoor, ‘Animal’ features an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. The Central Board of Film Certification has assigned an ‘A’ rating to the romantic crime drama.
Advance bookings for ‘Animal’ in India are set to commence on Sunday, November 26, and industry expectations for the film’s opening day numbers are already circulating. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘Animal’ is anticipated to rake in Rs 50 crore in India on its debut, marking it as the highest opening in Ranbir Kapoor’s career.
In the United States, early reservations for the film indicate that only 3,200 tickets have been sold for 206 locations.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, in a recent interview, expressed his admiration for Kapoor’s transformative performance as Arjun Singh in ‘Animal.’ Vanga remarked, “Ranbir is a remarkable actor, operating in a league of his own. He is exceptionally original, embodying a mix of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Kamal Haasan. This man, Ranbir, knows no limits.”
Vanga shared insights into Kapoor’s off-screen persona, stating, “He doesn’t exhibit anger like his character in the film. He is a remarkably calm person. I remember, during the creation of rageful scenes, I would repeatedly ask him when he gets angry. He would calmly respond, ‘I don’t get angry, Sandeep. This is the 7th or 9th time you’ve asked me this.'”
‘Animal’ is produced by T-Series’ Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Cine1 Studios’ Murad Khetani, and Bhadrakali Pictures’ Pranay Reddy Vanga. The film is set for a theatrical release on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
