Tiger 3 WOW

Tiger 3, featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, marks the third installment of the successful Tiger franchise. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film has achieved remarkable success at the global box office, accumulating a substantial ₹240 crore within the initial three days.

Yash Raj Films took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a poster detailing the box office performance of Tiger 3. The post proudly proclaimed it as the “biggest 3-day opening weekend for the Tiger franchise” and the “biggest opening weekend for Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi.” The film has raked in ₹240 crore ($28.92 million) worldwide, with ₹180.5 crore in India (Gross Box Office Collection) and ₹59.50 crore overseas.

The tweet from Yash Raj Films exclaims, “A weekend full of celebrations! #Tiger3 continues to rule over hearts and theatres! Watch Tiger 3 at your nearest big screen in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.” Notably, the action-packed film achieved the coveted ₹100 crore mark in India within just two days of its release. On the second day, it amassed ₹58 crore, bringing the total domestic collection to ₹144 crore, according to Sacnilk. However, YRF’s figures suggest a higher total.

Tiger 3 stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles and is part of the YRF Spy Universe alongside hits like War and Pathaan. The film also features cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and a post-credit scene with Hrithik Roshan. Tiger 3 surpassed the opening records set by Salman’s 2019 film Bharat, which earned ₹42.30 crore.

The movie, similar to its predecessors – Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, centers around a new mission involving RA&W agent Tiger (Salman) and ISI agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif). The franchise, initiated in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan, expanded in 2017 with Tiger Zinda Hai directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

In anticipation of the film’s release, Salman Khan shared insights during an interview with Variety. He discussed the challenges faced during the shoot, highlighting the bike-chasing scene as the most demanding. Salman expressed his enjoyment in shooting the dance track “Leke Prabhu Ka Naam” in Cappadocia, emphasizing its impact and entertainment value. The actor noted that Tiger 3 offers a more personal and emotional experience for audiences, building on the connection established with the characters throughout the franchise’s journey. Released on Diwali, Salman hopes audiences will relish the cinematic fireworks and enjoy the film as a festive entertainer with their families in theaters.
